Product Descriptions
Dale have recently designed and engineered two types of carton freezers / chillers for the industry, the single retention time freezer (SRT) two pass and the variable retention time freezer (VRT) multiple pass, the latter capable of freezing or chilling different sized products at different retention times.
Each system is robust in design and has been simplified in operation to provide our customers with the highest reliability and ease of maintenance. Systems can be designed and manufactured in a variety of orientations to suit the customer’s factory layout. Airflows have been extensively simulated to optimise freezing times, reduce fan power consumption and provide longer cycle times between defrosting. Sequential evaporator defrosting is available to allow the system to operate for longer production times.
Intelligent loading conveyors gap products entering the chiller or freezer to ensure air circulates around all sides of the cartons when loaded. Simple pusher loaders and unloaders have been designed on the SRT system and a simple cradle pusher design is used on the VRT system which travels up to any selected level and offloads the shelf at the programmed level / position. All this is controlled via our own PLC which controls the servo motors and the hydraulic rams together.

Dale’s SRT freezer can be designed and supplied to throughput products from 1,000kg to 14,000kg an hour whilst providing precise temperature control product quality, full stock control is displayed. Cost-effective operation is the key to our system.
Dale’s VRT freezer can be designed and supplied to throughput products from 4,000kg to 40,000kg an hour. Customising the retention times of different products is available on the VRT system whilst providing precise temperature control to optimise product quality, full stock control is displayed at all levels. Cost-effective operation is the key to our system.
