Dynek Chromic Surgical Gut is to our best knowledge BSE-FREE and produced from bovine intestinal serosa. As a Quarantine Approved Premises, , Dynek can only import and process raw materials that meet the stringent biosecurity requirements of the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service .
Dynek Chromic Gut is chromicised before it is spun into strands. This allows control over the amount of chromic content for an even absorption rate. The specialized spinning and grinding process creates a strand of uniform diameter. The suture strand is then further polished to achieve maximum smoothness, for reliability and strength.
The selection of Plain and Chromic Surgical Gut is determined by the rate of healing required in the tissue in which the suture is to be used.
